Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Portfolio Review

Before we book any calls, Elvin, our Head of Design, looks at your portfolio himself.

Stage 2

Talent conversation

A 30 minute video call with Mike, our VP of Talent.

The first half is about you: what you're doing now, what's got you looking, and a few specific questions about the role. For this one expect questions on the most complex product you've designed, a time a vendor or a compliance rule set the constraint, and how you're using AI in your work today. The second half is about us: how the process works, timelines, salary, and whatever you want to ask. You'll leave knowing exactly what happens next and when you'll hear from us.
Stage 3

Portfolio walkthrough

60 minutes with Elvin, Head of Design.

Bring one case study you can walk through end to end, ideally the most complex or constrained thing you've shipped, and plan on 10 to 15 minutes to present it. The rest is a conversation about the Marketplace squad, the problems you'd own, the decisions you've made under pressure and what working together day to day would look like. Expect detail, and bring your own questions.
Stage 4

Skills assessment + panel interview

You'll do a short, paid take-home exercise built around a realistic Marketplace problem.

You'll then present it to a panel of the people you'd work with most closely, walking them through your work. We'll dig into your decisions, trade-offs, and what you'd do with more time. Think of it less as an interview and more as a working session on how the squad would operate with you in it.
Stage 5

Culture and direction

A 30 minute conversation with Tom, our CEO, joined by Elvin and Dom, our CTO.

This one zooms out: where Pinpoint is going, what we value and how we work, and where you see yourself in that. It is also your chance to ask anything still on your mind about the company or the role.
