Join our Revenue Team

The Sales and Marketing team you join when you want to make a huge impact on a business, and grow your career fast.

Will you love it or hate it here?

We’re a high-growth, HR-tech scale-up building a fast, flexible applicant tracking system that helps in-house talent acquisition teams attract, hire, and onboard the best people.

We’re growing more than 100% / year and did 130% of target last year. We have similar plans for 2023.

That involves tripling the size of the team, meaning there are lots of opportunities for new people to join us, and for fast progression when you do.

We’re building a scalable business, on sensible unit economics, with the pace of a high-growth startup.

Fast, Flexible, Human

Our values are Fast, Flexible, and Human, and that pretty much sums up the reality of the culture.

We make decisions quickly, we love working with people that see a problem and solve it, we don’t like micromanagement. If we hire you it’s because we think you're the best person for the job so you’ll be trusted to get on and deliver.

Grow Your Career Fast

People that join our team and do an exceptional job have the opportunity to craft their own career path, and get promoted fast.

In the last year, half of our AE team have been promoted to Senior, and two of those have been promoted to Team Lead. Our Product Marketing Manager was promoted to Head of Marketing in her second quarter with us.

Whether you want quick progression from SDR to AE, AE to Senior AE, or from individual contributor to people manager there’s huge scope to develop your skills and career here.

But while we hope you’ll be with us for a long time, we know everyone has ambitions and dreams and might want to move on at some point.

Our job is helping you get where you want to be regardless of where that is. In return we’ll expect you to do your best work and deliver real value—we’ll all benefit from what you’ll learn along the way.

Expect some ambiguity

We're growing fast, and we're a small team. We don't have Sales Engineers, people to write emails for you, or someone to answer questions you could have answered from our internal wiki.

We learn quickly, and adapt fast. People that do well here thrive in ambiguity, and use it as an opportunity to identify problems and solve them for the next person that comes along.

That said, people that join us tell us our processes, systems, and documentation are much more mature than almost any other company at our stage of growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're pretty open and transparent. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us at any stage of the recruitment process. But these are answers to some of the questions we're asked the most.

What’s the tech stack?

Today we’re using:
  • HubSpot - CRM
  • Gong – Call recording/coaching
  • Chilipiper – Meeting booking and round robins
  • Cognism – Contact data and firmographic/technographic data
  • G2 intent data – our category is one of the largest
  • LinkedIn Sales Nav for all reps

What’s the current structure of the sales team?

Right now (Jan 2023), we have 6 AEs split between the US and the UK reporting to me (Pete, CRO) or team leads. We expect to end the year with 12 AEs, 2 AE Managers, c. 12 SDRs, a Head of Sales Development, and a Revenue Operations Manager.

What’s Pinpoint’s runway?

Essentially unlimited. We didn’t raise money at ridiculous valuations over the last few years when the market would have allowed it, we have plenty of cash in the bank, access to significant additional capital if we want it, and we always aim to be no more than 3-6 months away from cash flow positive (without layoffs!). We’re building a scalable business on sensible unit economics.

Unlimited holiday/vacation. How does that actually work?

Unlimited holiday gets a bad rep. But we don't want to stop a good thing just because some companies handle it badly. Here are the guidelines in Sales & Marketing.
  • You're expected to take a minimum of 21 days. If you don't your manager will chase you until you do!
  • You're expected to hit your targets, and perform inline with your peers.
  • More than 2 weeks consecutive time off will not usually be approved as it puts too much pressure on your colleagues to cover you.
In sales
  • Your manager will look after your pipeline while you're off so that you can actually take a break.
  • You are expected to hit quota each quarter and in 2 of the 3 months in each quarter. This gives you the chance to take a break and miss a month without affecting opportunities for promotion.

Who provides the health insurance benefits?

US Team: Cigna
UK Team: AXA

You're welcome to ask for copies of policy documentation during the recruitment process.

Can I speak to someone on the team?

Once you're in an active recruitment process with us, you're welcome to reach out to anyone on the team to learn more about their experience working here.

The recruitment process is a two-way conversation and our job is to help you figure out whether Pinpoint's the right fit for you.
