Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Initial Chat

A 30-minute interview via Zoom with our Head of Talent,  Mike Bradshaw.

During our conversation, Mike will discuss your job search, interest in Pinpoint, and briefly review your work history. The interview will primarily focus on understanding how well you can thrive in our unique startup environment and your alignment with our company values.
Stage 2

Panel

As a company that values innovation and individuality, we recognize that product management can vary greatly from one professional to another. Therefore, we're particularly interested in understanding how you've navigated this role and the unique insights you bring to the table.

For this interview with our CTO Bill, Lead Designer Elvin, and Product Delivery Manager Edd, you'll have the opportunity to share your screen and showcase any relevant materials that highlight your best work. This could include past projects, strategic plans, or any other artifacts that demonstrate your approach to product management.

After this, the team will want to learn more about your experiences and how you envision contributing to our team, including:

  1. Product Vision and Strategy: Discussing how your experience and ideas align with our product vision and long-term strategy.
  2. Technical and Design Collaboration: Exploring your approach to working with engineering and design teams, including your methods for balancing their needs and making decisions that benefit the product as a whole.
  3. User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI): Evaluating your understanding and passion for UX/UI design, and how you’ve applied this in previous roles to improve the user experience.
  4. Data-Driven Decision Making: Assessing how you use quantitative data, qualitative insights, and instinct to inform your decisions and keep projects moving forward.
  5. Project Management Skills: Reviewing your experience in leading project meetings, maintaining feature documentation, planning User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and conducting demos for stakeholders.
  6. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Discussing your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and represent your team’s work compellingly.
Stage 3

Assignment

For the step in our process, we will ask you to complete a small (paid) project and present it.

We'll provide you with clear written instructions, ensuring not to occupy a significant amount of your time. As a gesture of fairness and respect for your efforts, we will compensate you for your time.

If you’ve got to this stage, we’re all pretty invested in moving you forward and we want to make sure you enjoy working with us, and we enjoy working with you.   
Stage 4

Final Interview

In the final stage of the process, you'll meet with our CEO, Tom. This is an opportunity for you to inquire about Pinpoint's long-term plans, current challenges, and the impactful role you're set to play. 

Tom will explore your goals during your time at Pinpoint and assess your ability to thrive in our working environment, emphasizing alignment with our company values.

Finally, this will be your chance to address any lingering questions or concerns you may have regarding the company or your role.
