- Stage 1
Initial Chat
This will be a 30-minute conversation with our VP of Talent, Mike.
After getting some context around your background and interest in the role, we’ll dig into a handful of role-specific questions focused on how you work—drawing on past examples, how you think through new or ambiguous situations, and how you’d approach challenges relevant to this role. This isn’t a line-by-line resume walkthrough; it’s about understanding how you operate in a fast-moving, high-ownership startup environment.

Hiring Manager
45 minutes with Bill (CTO) and Dan (Senior Product Manager)
This stage focuses on an in-depth exploration of your functional expertise as it relates to the role. You’ll be asked to share real-life examples from past experiences that highlight your skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities in relevant ways scenarios.

Additionally, this is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have—whether about the role, the team, or the company culture. We value transparency and encourage you to use this time to ensure Pinpoint aligns with your career aspirations and values.
- Stage 3
Panel
This conversation is 60-minute panel interview with our Senior Product Manager (Dan), Head of Design (Elvin), and VP of Engineering (Dom). The session will focus on four broad areas:
- Product Craft — how you approach discovery, problem-solving, requirements, and collaborating with design/engineering.
- Value & Commercial Thinking — how you assess opportunities, think about business impact, and identify meaningful customer value.
- Influence & Communication — how you navigate ambiguity, work with stakeholders, make trade-offs, and advocate for good product decisions.
- Quality Execution — how you guide a feature from concept to launch and ensure strong documentation, communication, and cross-team alignment.
You won’t need to prepare a presentation — they’ll guide the conversation — but it will be structured, practical, and grounded in how you think and work. The final 10+ minutes will be yours to ask any questions.

Paid Assessment

This is where you show us how you’d approach real work at Pinpoint. We’ll give you clear written instructions, keep the time commitment reasonable, and compensate you for your effort.
The goal isn’t perfection — it’s to see how you think, how you structure your work, and how you’d approach the kinds of challenges you’d face here.

This will be an interview with our CEO, Tom.
