Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Initial
30 minutes with our VP of Talent, Mike Bradshaw.
This first conversation is about getting to know you and making sure the basics line up. We’ll spend time on your motivations, background, and expectations — and ask questions that help us see how you’d thrive in a high-growth startup with a complex, evolving product. We’ll also look for how your approach aligns with the values that guide how we work at Pinpoint.

We’ll align on salary expectations, process, and timeline. And of course, you’ll have the chance to ask your first questions and decide if Pinpoint feels like the right environment for you.
- Stage 2
Portfolio Presentation
This is an opportunity for you to showcase your portfolio and walk the Head of Design and two of our Designer through some of your past work. We’re interested in understanding the thought processes behind your projects, your approach to design and collaboration, and how your experience aligns with this role.
We value transparency and openness—so feel free to ask any questions you have, whether about the team, the role, or feedback from the previous call. This process is as much about you assessing us as it is about us assessing you.
Please be prepared to share your screen via Zoom to present your portfolio. If you have any technical concerns, let us know in advance, and we’ll assist you.
- Stage 3
Panel Interview
In this panel interview, we’ll want to learn more about your approach and experience around key areas like accessibility, dealing with ambiguity, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
Expect to discuss how you approach inclusive design, navigate uncertainty, advocate for design decisions, collaborate with technical teams, and align with our company values.
We’re interested in real-world examples of your work and how you handle challenges.
We’ll leave plenty of time at the end for you to ask any questions about the role, the team, or anything else on your mind. This is a mutual exploration to ensure the best fit for both you and us.
